Mesh for reinforcement of interior screeds and other non-structural concrete applications. Fiberglass mesh for screeds is a new solution that is less costly and more effective than using steel or polypropylene fibers. These innovative alternatives will not rust or rot and will provide increased durability in every cementitious application. Intensive chemical reactions occur in the screed during the drying period that generate internal stresses, which lead to a cracked surface and problematic installation of tiles or resin. All screeds have a very low mechanical tension strength. If they are placed on a soft insulation layer (heating floors, acoustic insulation), they can easily crack. Therefore reinforcement is a must in such cases.
